Well at least they don't break in half after 2-3 years like all the past visors.
Or the headliner does not fall off. Or the seat levers don't snap off. Or the heater core does not leak. Or the lim.... (1 hour later) Or the optispark goes wet.. well.. that should cover it. (joke about old GM's). |

I learned many years ago that, invariably there is always a reason why something happens -- or does not happen -- or is designed a certain way. (and in many cases, there are multiple reasons.)
What were we thinking? Well -- there's this Motor Vehicle Safety Standard -- (I believe it's MVSS 2006) -- that, in essence, is a head impact standard. It's quite complicated, but suffice to say that if you put a really big sunvisor in the car, it COULD cause injury under certain circumstances. As to the lighted vanity mirror -- we originally planned for it....but now that we have a mirror that had to be designed to pass this standard, there is no light. |

Also, I am not sure if this is the "law" or not.. but the visor comes down to the "legal limit" on the front window.... By that I mean the legal limit where you can put vinyl on the front window. . . Has a little line onthe drivers side if you care to look.... I ASSUME it can't come below that because it doesn't in my Doge Nitro either.

This was my first and biggest complaint about this car too! I am not exactly tall (5'6"), so the visor would've really been helpful on the side... and for all of the people saying "wear sunglasses"... I always do when I'm driving, but they don't help much when the sun is coming in from the side of your face
