Wow, WTF is it with others damaging our ZL1's this year. I've never seen so many get joy ride crashed, driven into pools, clipped, banged and crashed into. And it's only August with 4 more months to go this year. NOBODY gets to drive my ZL anymore since I've seen what has happened and reported here on C5.

Tell them you are taking it to a shop of your choice and get it out of there. They will probably try and cut corners since they are paying for it.

Hell mine was freaking parked. This is going to get real ugly very soon. The bad thing is I liked the service dept. Go in for SC replacement come out with paint job. Who would have thought that there are that many incompetent people at the dealership that are factory trained. I don't understand why people go into service and don't give a crap if they do a good job or not.

Good luck
yes at least they admitted - I took mine in for some AC repair and the glass company scratched the hell out of BOTH front quater panels... I didn't know about the first one till I called and asked why it was taking so long and htey said it was in the paint booth.... then I picked up the car and saw the other side and over spray all over the car... took it back and demanded a fix and told them that any damaged caused while the car is in there shop NEEDS to be reported to me immediately so can make a choice to get it fixed there, or by my painter at their expense.

as for the free service, I got 2 years of free service on my car so not sure how well you would benefit from this... but hey go for it... hopefully its a BIG service that you get them to pay for!

Hey maybe I could get Recaro seats installed in mine. I called the bodyshop and the two people that I have been talking to for the past month are gone. So I ask the guy on the phone if there is a white ZL1 there. He says yes, it is out front waiting for you to come look at it. I was like how the he'll am I going to come look at it if no one tells me anything about the status of the car. I have since called the service advisor and he supposed to go look at it this afternoon and call me. I have also contacted the GM through his assistant and she is going to email him. He had told me on Monday that he was going to text Melissa at the bodyshop to call me. Well that is one of the people that is no longer there. So I have no info for 2 weeks. We will see. I guess it is time to take the gloves off and quit being Mr. niceguy.
