The impala really isnt a slouch though. it's just as fast as the crown vic is. Crown vic is only available for fleet sale so the end is near for that......

The police charger is the best out there right now. Then the pursuit tahoe, that thing is neat.

That's awesome. My local PD offered to race me in their Charger. They used to have a 4th gen and we didn't race against my 4th gen, but I won.

i agree the vic is a DOG!!!!!!!!!!! i am glad ford is killing that car. but i forsee the only car i have to look forward to at work is a hybrid escape. we have one already and as soon as the vics are phased out this is probably what we will have.

I started out in '71 and '72 AMC Javelins that were broken in when I got them. Fun to drive, rough on mechanics. The last big Ford I liked was a '76 LTD with an auxiliary gas tank in the trunk (35 gal. total). Later on there was an '88 Mustang with a 5-speed. Everything else was forgettable.

When you said Sheriff...I believe it...had you said State Trooper, then I knew something would be wrong there...Troopers tend to be a bit more straight laced and follow the letter of the law...Sheriffs and local yocals, well, you know what I mean...

some of the police impalas i have seen are v6 and some even are swapped in l99 saw one few weeks ago at the habitat store i volunteer at here in goose creesk sc i jeard a weird idle and looked sure 2 pipes coming out the back was a unmarked car but had the lights in the back tray i asked the man when he went to git in what it had in it and he popped the hood ...l99 was all he said and not many can out run him lol ........kinda reminds me of the hemi charger police car on spike few months ago lol
