I know about 5 people who have evo's and sti's and they all think their car is hot shit. So you pretty much can't expect them to be right when they are trashing on muscle cars. Plus, every one of my friends with imports have problems before their car hits 20,000 miles. Maybe it's poor engineering, or else they don't know how to drive. So I will just let the cars do the talking when I get my Camaro. Then we will settle it once and for all.

Yep....all wheel drive will get you that edge off the line. BUT.......lol.....it's tough to compete w/ an LS1!!! Especially on that top end.

I had a few people with all out faster cars comment to me out at the track about my Camaros top end. They had no idea that I was going to catch them, so they'd tap on the brakes. Duhhhh.......and then I'd come up on them so fast that they'd have to get back on the throttle, but it was TOOOOO LATE! lol...fun times, man.

Oh, and it looked like RX7 dude wasn't too sure how to drive his car. Looks like he had some problems.

AND DON"T STREET RACE!

It's hard to tell. I couldn't hear it at all over the Camaro. Usually the car jerks a little bit though as it slows itself down and I couldn't see it doing any of that

Either bogs down...or rips all wheels loose (mind you I'm not talking about sitting there burning the wheels off). The 4 wheel spin isn't for long, but just long enough to get the car going in the wrong direction. In fact I have often thought that if it had more power maybe it wouldn't do what is does. I think that one of the 4 tires ends up getting a bit of traction while the others aren't, thus turning the car..and them BAM..traction.

As far as power at the wheels, I've never had it on the dyno and yeah it's much easier to do with slightly wet or snowy ground, but can be done on dry pavement just really hard on the clutch (It's been replaced once and I've learned that lesson)

Keep forgetting, it isn't stock anymore. Guess would be about 300hp at the fly.

cool. just honestly never heard of people around here doing that stock. btw get stickier tires. lol.

I had a Subaru RX Turbo for my first car back in the 80's and did 4 wheel burn-outs all the time. I don't ever remember it getting out of control and really enjoyed them. Maybe I just expected it to handle the way that it did. I also had a Nissan pickup that I would put in 4WD when it rained and slide around corners. I always thought it was fun.
