Check out the performance data from the 1969 line of SS Camaros. A 14 second car is a fast car. Always has been. It's just that there are faster cars out there.

No doubt you're happy, I prefer an auto transmission for me. And if exhaust isn't satisfying stock ill change it. Some of our guys here get good deals in other states. For us we have pretty bad listings at least. Not sure about negotiated price yet. I don't do any modding though, just some phone mounts and aux cables. ![]() Maybe red vinyl tape mark on steering wheel too.

Raging Hawk If you are even considering a V8 just get it and save yourself some heartache down the road. You will be satisfied and save yourself from the agony of saying to yourself daily MAN I SHOULD HAVE GOT THE V8
I just went through this for 8 months and I ended up losing some money on my V6. If you can afford it I would just do it. I spent so much money trying to make my V6 look awesome and get it sounding like a muscle car and I still was not happy. I have not spent but $10 on my V8 because well it just came from the factory awesome. Even got rid of my throttle controller because well it's got plenty of response. V6 is a nice car don't get me wrong but if you got that V8 in your mind it will always be there after you get the V6 heck just noticed you have a V6 oh the respect you get is just awesome Ive swung both ways

I shouldve known better in beginning, I initially didn't know much about the camaro and would have gone with an SS model from the beginning and would be better off than trading in with less value and absolutely no discounts. This car must have a lot of demand they won't bring prices down. |

I don't know of many dealers who would offer discounts over the phone... not unless you already have a good relationship with them.

Alright makes sense, I do have a great relationship with one dealer. All our vehicles come from there, problem is their inventory doesn't have what I want. I'm not worried about discounting price, once I am ready to purchase I will negotiate as much as possible. I'm worried about my trade in value, the dealers that have best deals/trims are all at least half hour away from me.
They all want me to drive in to get trade in appraisal. |

Have a question, instead of driving up to dealers to get trade in appraisal, can I email them the vin number? And if that is possible, where do I find the vin number on the car?

You can ballpark trade in value using NADA, but ultimately the dealer will want to see and drive the vehicle before giving you an actual final trade figure.
VIN is in the front window on almost every car that there is. Also, it can be found on many of the stickers affixed to the car chassis... but if all else fails, it is on your TITLE as well as on your INSURANCE papers. Just look at your title for the car.

I am kind of leaning towards 2ss because it has better audio system. I listen to lots of music. Do you recommend I go see what trade in value I can at the dealer with 2ss? |

Not sure why anyone would choose the 1SS over the 2SS... especially for more money.

If those dealers don't give same sale price difference as the one with 2ss model then I'm not paying them a visit. If they bring down the 1'ss's to 31-32K with decent trade in value I would consider. If they don't and the lowest they'll go is 34-35 then it would be stupid for me to not go for 2ss.
