Probably the same guy that was trying to tell me that stock manifolds were 1 7/& long tube headers...lol...sounds much better than the salesman I had up there, he just made up stuff. There was a small dent and paint missing on right rear quarter...I asked him several times about damage before I got there and he didn't mention it. After I pointed it out, he said that he thought it was dirt. Oh well, glad you found one, they seem to be holding their value and expensive at least in this area.

Congrats on the car. I was thinking of a Camaro6 SS also but started leaning towards used ZL1 last month. I love the car. It is funny you mention the taillights. I love the 2014 tail lights. If you look back in the forum history you can actually find people complaining back in like 2008 about the fact that they went with corvette like tail lights rather than full retro inspiration like the 2014 has. People even did photoshops haha. And when we finally got the retro inspired taillights people complained. I think they look better personally. If I get a used 2012-13 I'll upgrade to them myself.

Your ZL1 looks great. And about the tail lights it is all personal preference, but I love the 2014 style LED. Helps make the car feel wider, more in sync with the original 60s car looks, and more modern lighting tech. The 2010-13 are awesome as well, I love Camaro's but enjoy the 2014 more.
I hope to be getting my ZL1 at some point in the next six months. It will probably be a 2012 or 13 though so I'll need to upgrade the whole rear to get the tail lights I want. I also get the Z28 diffuser since I love the angular ports around the exhaust. Make it a bit of a ZL-28 haha. |

Very nice purchase man! I looked at the white ZL1 in Lancaster. Saw it on Auto-Locator cause my one friend is looking at getting one. It was in his price range but not knowing who did the work concerned us both. More or less it is who tuned it that is the important thing.

I have added my Exhaust Commander and hooked it up to one of my Homelink buttons. I also upgraded the BA Amp and added the GTO clutch reservoir. I gave it a wash and wax job today. The ZL1 is a great car. I can't wait, Tuesday is shaping up to be a nice day. Atco here I come. Two new pics: ![]() ![]() |
