Another one of the thoughts I had.

Yes sir! In hindsight it was actually a good thing that it was because if it wasnt, I'd be Flipped!

Tender sadly is out fo the question. Since there are multiple people coming in and out, my car sits right where you see it. Which means I'd have to run an extension cord in order to make it work. Not something I would want to do, for safety reasons. But, I do see your point.

These comments are hilarious. If anyone who read the initial post thought for one second I was seriously pissed, I would just say WOW. I don't know how much more jokingly someone could write something. And for the ones who want to be smarty pants and blabber on about using the front posts and reading the manual, all the while not knowing that in this situation I had to use the battery.

To quote another members post " insert foot in mouth".

Geez louise, do people know what jokes are anymore? LoL. Its all good. No hate towards anyone! Still would like to know about the throttle problem though.

" Still would like to know about the throttle problem though."

Maybe try the fuse pull trick.

Owners Manual Chapter 10 - Jump starting (in index)

http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam...ers-manual.pdf

Maybe something similar to the drivers license exam, before the keys are turned over to the new owner they must read the owners manual and take an exam, LOL.

Are you taking about 5-20? I've found a couple different threads about different pulls, but none because of a dead battery.

This is exactly why I don't ask the questions openly on the computer. But I do use my drivers manual. I just use the PM system.

The battery to battery advice is the only option in a car with the battery in the traditional position. Going battery to battery as you did to start the Camaro is probably less effective than using the remote posts as the resistance of the wiring from the battery to the starter comes in to play.

Battery in the back is smart, especially with on star.....the battery will survive a crash and Onstar will still be powered.

The first time I had to get gas I spent 10 minutes at the pump trying to figure out how to open the gas door. I'm pulling on the thing, twisting it, trying to play it off and not look like a total dick. Finally had to get out the old owner's manual. Luckily there were no chicks around. Must have been the same flippin genius who designed that. I hate that guy!

This is just a FYI for next time.
Your car will move, especially downhill, even though the battery is dead and it won't start.
Put key in ignition, turn key to start, leave it there. Put foot on brake, shift car into neutral. Ease up on brake allowing gravity to take effect, back car down driveway into the street. Open hood, use terminals under hood to jump start car.
You're taking this well and I'm just messing with you, but, this WILL work.

Good point. But, the reason why I didnt do that, I wasnt completely sure, as I still am not now, that it was just the battery. Last thing I wanted to do was do exactly that and all of a suddne find out its not just the battery and then my car is stuck in the street. Like I said, its sat for two weeks multiple times before and never had an issue, which is why I thought it might not just be the battery.

I dont mind all the shit and flack everyone's giving me. Like I said, they're all blabbering on about what i should have done and reading the manual etc etc, all the while not realizing what they said I should have done, I couldnt have done. Its all good. I have no problem or issues with any of the members or their comments.
