To me, I think it all comes down to personal taste and preference. Throughout all six generations of the Camaro, I have generations I like (and would buy) versus those I don't have a desire to own. But I can appreciate each year as I'm a Camaro fan through and through. So, if the Gen 6 attracts buyers that would've otherwise not considered a Camaro before, more power to GM to grow the Camaro family. Bottom line...it's a Camaro and that's all that matters [to me]....

Not true, I hate european cars. I don't see euro trash in the gen 6 at all. I see a very hot looking modern performance car. From someone that owns some actual muscle cars, non of the modern cars are muscle car, and thank god they aren't.

It's not just Camaro. It's not even just cars. I've been on dozens of forums in the last 15 years and they're all the same. Some people are cool, some people want to help, some people are just enthusiasts. Then you have the keyboard commandos that glean some sort of ego boost from being tough guys or bullies. Guess it's just a representation of the population in general.

I think the Gen 6 is better in almost all respects from what I've read and seen (except looks). But I firmly believe the Gen 5 sold so well due to it's heritage styling which it's now losing. It looks great to me if the Gen5 never existed. There are elements that I prefer over my 5th but it will never be enough for me to care to own one. I'm not a track guy, so the extra performance it offers would be wasted on me. The interior looks a lot better to me but I don't need all the fancy crap which inflates the price. I agree with the guy who said they should offer a more bare-bones version of the SS to keep costs down. Otherwise, they'll just loose sales to the Mustang which is where I would be looking next. I had to buy used to get one of these. No way I'll be affording a the new model ever even if I wanted to.

Very reminiscent of the "old taillights" vs. the "refresh taillights" isn't it? Same-old, same-old. Funny I go to both forums and I only own a first gen. I just love Camaros and want to know all about them. I like 'em all!!!

I have no idea why there is separate website. Its a Camaro for the love of Pete. I go to both. I accept a Gen 6 is going to be better performance wise over a Gen 5. I accept that my big ass might not fit in one, and that I love our car. I love our first gen as well. Can't we all just get along?

the only thing i dont like about the gen six is the lower part of the front facia, the small interior and reduced trunk space. the rest of the styling is so similar i cant tell the difference until the last second when one goes the other way on the highway. i have a 5 yr old and this is my car so the reduced 5-6" in the back seat clearance is a big turn away for me. I go on trips with my car loaded with stuff for my rc racing so i need the trunk space too. the fifth gen was just the right size for me to say yes to, had it been smaller i would have said no to it also. I almost think the gen 6 has less stowage space than my c5 did..

Then one of these type of threads appear! I look at it like it will have some people buying a Camaro because it offers the package.
4 banger Camaro vrs. V6/SS , with a 4 cylinder, why is a V6 needed? :mad0233,: Not trying to make anyone , just prepared... I 'll have plenty of this!
