I would go for an 1SS/RS, you could add on the panels and stuff later. You could even get custom leather later.
If ti wasnt for me being 18, i wouldve gone for a 1SS/RS
I didnt think i would like the base SS until i saw Squalos 1ss and i was shocked by how nice the seats were, how you still get a leather wrapped sterring wheel and shift nob. His is an L99, but i wouldve gotten an M6 and it would be really nice to know you got a LS3 under the hood
I was very impressed with the base SS. Plus the seats are way more durable then the leather.

2LT is my vote. Features, looks and fuel economy the V6 Camaro is a world class modern sports cars. Get a manual.

Online i built a 1SS that basically matched a fully loaded 2LT/RS, id go for the 1SS personally, i just like the SS better and honestly im not real impressed with the bells and whistles, the only thing i would miss is the 4-pack gauge cluster v-v but then id forget about it when my face is plastered to the seat, LOL

Attitudes like yours are so insulting. There are plenty of good, non-female-related reasons to prefer a 2LT/RS over a 1SS. Grr.

The RS package was a must and can't wait to get it. My code as of last Wed was at 3400, I guess that means they are in the middle of making it.

I do feel real good about my choice and thanks or all your input. For a everyday drive car, the 2LT/RS should be great! Yellow with the black stripes.
Butterfingers, you DID make a good choice, my very first new car was a Gen 2 RS Camaro, they all had V8's back then, and it could get me in trouble just fine, OUR new Camaro with the V6 has about 125 hp MORE then my forst one. It will certainly be more than just a great looking car, it will have plenty of "get up and go" as well, don't you worry.

I bought my car because I love driving, and loved the car for what it is. As long as it has a CD player, AC, a manual transmission and makes loud noises I'm happy. And with that mindset, V8 > Bluetooth + random accessories.

Mine has all the bells and whistles.. I'm just saying.

Wow, nice sexist comment there.

To the OP, I think deep down you know the answer to this question, but you struggle and want to make the right choice. Its tough because I did the same thing. I have the good fortune of money not being the issue, and went all out. But even when making the decision, I struggled with a 2LT vs. 2SS since I'm coming from a V6 to the Camaro and I would use this to commute. I finally said "F@#%" it, my butt is going to be in the seat at least 2 hours a day 5 days a week. Might as well make it as fun as possible

Good luck on what ever you end up getting, it will be a blast either way.

While the 1LT is a great ride the 2LT is down right awesome. There is a dealer near me in ST Thomas that has a loaded 2LT RS rally yellow. Im seeing more and more 2LT's showing up on lots so ordering isnt the direction i would go if you can avoid it.

I love my manual 2LT RS. It is such a blast to drive. I barely give it any gas to do the 25mph speed limit around here. I couldn't imagine getting the 1SS/2SS unless I was running on the track where I could really open it up.

My neighbor who was telling me I should get the V8 took it for a drive, and was very impressed with the performance of the V6.
