It was BBK with the 33HP gain... but it was in the 5400 RPM range not peak... still very usable and a very nice gain overall... I'm just concerned what high flow cats without the stock mufflers will sound like...

I'm going to be extremely skeptical of 20RWHP from an intake on the V6... Did you see the Jannetty thread for the V8 CAI shoot out. Here's the results:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...=1&output=html

Biggest HP gain was 15.9 RWHP... so... I'm going to be a bit skeptical on the 20+ HP claim...

The CAI claims wouldn't be the only things I would be skeptical from manufactures. Did you see what Jannety thought about exhausts?

No, i missed that thread...

But yeah, I'm pretty much skeptical of ALL manufacturers claims... And while I can't do my testing absolutely scientifically, i do try and do it honestly as possible and I figure between the dyno and the track I can get a pretty good idea how a new mod performs...

It is in the large Jannety CAI thread, one sentance. Something as he hasn't seen much if any differance in axle backs on the SS.

Just did mine 2 hrs ago: Once I get my Scanner fixed I'll will post the Sheets with all the Data...Temp..etc.

Maybe Scrming can tell me if this is good or not

2nd Pull 5000 202.6 212.8 12.5
3rd Pull 4250 173.3 214.1 12.6

What would it be if I did it in Standard Mode
Next week I'll post again after I install the Catbacks & CAI

Numbers do seem a bit low... I would have expected the peak HP to be at least in the 240s... Post the the sheets when you can!

What gear did they do the pulls in? Do you happen to know what the weather was like? Temp and barometer? Also if you look at the sheet does it show a SAE correction factor?

Absolute barometric Pressure = 30.41 in.Hg
Vapor pressure = 0.048 in.Hg
Intake Air Pressure = 72.8 oF
Gear Ratio = 63.78 RPM/MPH
Correction Factor = 0.95 SAE

I didn't look what gear he was in
Outside Temp about 48 oF

That's all i got.

WOW.... 0.95 correction factor seems quit a bit lower than I've ever seen... mine have always been between 0.99 and 1.01.... so 0.95 seems a bit off... HOWEVER I have not researched the calculations in involved in coming up with a SAE correction factor... hmmm

That being said... your Standard HP number would be more like 245 instead of 233... 245 is more in the ball park of what I would expect..

Hmmm... sounds like something wasn't set up right... the .048 is awfully low...

Here's a vapor pressure calc:

http://www.csgnetwork.com/vaporpressurecalc.html

Looking at todays weather it looks like the dew point was about 35 degrees F. Which would mean with 72 degree temp and 35 degree dew point the vapor pressure should have been about .2 which is more in line with what I would expect... only way i could get a .04 vapor pressure was set the dew point to 0 degree... hmmm...
