Thanks for the replies!! I'm gonna have the muffler shop use 2.5" tubing, x-pipe, and the smallest center-center Magnaflows. I've never disconnected the battery for any exhaust mods before, so I just wasn't sure if the Camaro would be different. Thanks

get the 3" then later on u wont have to worry about buying another exhaust. The loss is only a few horse anyways between the 2.5" or 3" under 550 horse but the 3" system sounds so much cleaner. You will eventually get to 550 horse or more anyway !!!

Got my exhaust done!!! I went with 2.5" tubing, x-pipe, and 5" x 8" Magnaflows. It sounds really good IMO, but unfortunately, I don't have a camera that will capture the sound correctly.

I have the L99 and to be honest, I can't tell when the AFM kicks in. It is not extremely loud inside the car, but I can hear a nice rumble when I get on it. Speaking of getting on it, when I pulled out of the muffler shop and I gave it some gas, it seemed like it took off a bit faster. It made me say "oooo-weeee"!!!

Just so that I'm clear, it sounds like the 2.5" maganaflow system gets more horses that the 3" system. That said, the 3" system still offers some improvements in performance over the stock exhaust right? I just had my 3" system installed (no headers, just a K&N filter) and I swear the throttle response is quicker and smoother, but of course that could just be the placebo effect of hearing the sound.....

No idea. I guess the only way to tell is by having the car dynoed. Mine dynoed 338 rwhp after the exhaust install.
