Well, for me it just another number to deal with. Hell, 1,000 on the 1st week, 3,000 after 1 1/2 months. Sitting on 7,000 after 4 months! Did not buy her to sit in the garage and be lonely. It's a car, its meant to be driven, if your not a multi-millionare wanting a museum piece - DRIVE THE CAR! She will keep repaying you with the biggest permagrin that will never come off! Sorry, I feel your pain, but get over it and enjoy the car for what it is - 1 BAD A-- FRIGGN MUSCLE CAR!

Buy the second one. My wife and I were out looking at new ones today. Our dealer has three SS on the lot. Thing is, when you get the second one, yer gonna put the miles on it too. I know, before the camaro I had two 300C's. One 5.7 hemi and a SRT8. Drove the he'll outa both of them

Hammer?

As for the mileage, well when I get my Camaro it will be my daily ride and I commute 100mi/day. So the way I see it and from what I hear on this site all the time, the more the miles add up will only lead me to my next Camaro!

Yeah, that odometer seems to be the one thing that all auto companies seem to get right and not have a problem with. You just hope it breaks for about 50 thousand miles

I was going to wait too but life is too short and decided I needed it put on right off the dealer lot. 5k miles and runs great. I don't like looking at the miles either but I plan on keeping it so I push the pedal down a little more and let it ride

I have a 99 Grand Prix and need a new car, the only production model I like and can see myself in is the Camaro.
I go to the Chevy site and build a car daily, sometimes IBM or RJT with beige interior , but mostly black on black. V6 for gas mileage, and the 7K difference in getting a V8 + I consider the price of gas and the amount I would spend in 6 years until I get the thing paid off.
I could have one now, if the economy had not tanked and my older sister and brother were doing ok financially. They went to college, but I didn't because I knew my parents didn't have the money decades ago.
Long story short, if I had not given them 8K+ in the last year and wasn't currently donating money to them, I could have what I want.
Black V6 (I'm not buying something to race and I don't have the money to pimp it out) sunroof, LT2, RS package, spare tire, 20" polished wheels. I could handle the 6 year payments,
I come here daily, because I love the car and like reading about the experiences that owners have. I want to be one soon. I'm afraid if I don't get this car now, it will not be available in the future, and you only live once.
There are people who post here that have more money than common sense, and kids who whine because mommy and daddy won't buy them one. It makes me sick to read.
I'm a hard working, honest guy but I put my family before myself and it's delaying me getting this beauty. It won't last forever and I will find a way to get one. Just be happy that you have that beautiful car to put a smile on your face. I've seen ONE up close and sat in it at a dealership 2 miles away while the guy was telling me about an 18 year old kid who's grandmother bought a 2SS for him. He got in a fender bender and they had to fix it a week later, they gave the car back to him and 2 days later he wrapped it around a tree.
Drive your car, to hell with the odometer and ENJOY IT!
If I ever make a trip to VA I will let you drive mine.

Never postpone joy! On your deathbed, I'm pretty sure you won't be like, "I can't breathe! I'm dying! But man I'm glad I didn't drive my Camaro that much!"

You hit the nail on the head. I'm not saving my Camaro for anyone.
I've got 16,000 fun miles on my 2 1/2 year old SS and have enjoyed every mile.
