You can buy a maintainer/tender designed specifically to plug in to outlet or one that allows you to use your choice of connections - a clip on, 'bolt on' or outlet plug adaptor.

My maintainer came with a cigarette adapter, but I think most modern cars switch off the lighter socket with the ignition off unlike old school cars. So there would be no battery conection to charge with an off ignition.

I have the PulseTech Xtreme. It works great and I permanently connected it to the battery in the trunk. I ran the lead through a rubber grommet in the bottom of the trunk pan.

Another vote for CTEK smart charger/tender here.
7 step charging, monitoring and pulse maintenance.

Thanks for the input. I have a CTEK charger with the cigar plug from a modern Corvette that I traded it.

My question is can I use this on the Camaro.

Should I test to see if the cigar socket is active when the car is turned off to determine, or is there some other way to tell if it will word.

Thanks

The CTEK will work on any vehicle that has a socket that stays hot when the ignition is turned off, it is not 'Corvette' specific. That being said, I can tell you that on my 2013 SS, the neither of the sockets stay hot when the ignition is off.

The power points use a relay to disconnect them when the key is off and 1) the driver's door is opened, or 2) 10 minutes have passed.
You can replace the relay with a jumper so they are always connected to power.
