A random comment with no explanation?
Shine some light on this and bestow some knowledge please. I’m just trying to get a few answers I can’t find even after extensive searching. I’ve been chasing this problem for a few years and diagnosis has been a nightmare.

I would go with the fan belt idea or connect them to the shunt in the trunk.

Hmmm I wonder if shunt is the reason for all these blend door/hvac issues coming up over the last few years? Sure seems possible to me?! That dirty rascal.

I probably shunt do that. I’ve unilaterally decided to plug them and zip tie them securely to the U hose connected to the pump. What’s the worse that can happen?
