I just saw axle back quad tip Borla touring mufflers on sale at RDP. I want a quad tip touring set myself but I want catback. Those are supposed to be quiet and without drone.

Hi. I'm a G8 lerker. I had a similar issue when I did my build. Originally Kooks long tubes to a Corsa catback with no cats. It sounded like freaking NASCAR every time I drove out of my neighborhood. Plus my car smelled like a fuel refinery every time I parked in my garage. Gas seems to stick a lot more nowadays than when I syphoned it as a kid. I ended up selling the long tubes and went with Kooks 1 7/8" mids to their high flow cats and then to my Corsa catback. Sounds great now. The cats made all the difference. And it doesn't stink nearly as much now.

Honestly if you care about your neighbors and noise level, a set of cutouts and quiet exhaust if choice is the best option. I’m running 1 7/8 headers, high flow cats, noweeds, and NPP. Also wired a manual NPP switch so I can force close the flaps. Very neighbor friendly and only loud when I want it.
