I get "egged on" alot...especially at night on my way home from work; it's a loong stretch of road. I had one black 08 mustang gt try to edge me up, but when they saw the "SS" on the back he "fell back". I get Mazda RXs with farting exhaust trying to tempt me,......Nissan Titans with 26 inch rims lol, dodge trucks,....a few chargers with the OMG "HEMI" design on the side of the car, I can't resist those. Never had a problem with G37s......they have respect.
I never had problems with the Vettes either,....even though I accepted once, it was fun as hell up to 125mph, he showed me why he's daddy.

I never really give it much thought about being challenged before getting my Camaro, but we had a 120 mile ride home and it hadn't been 10 minutes from leaving the dealership that this late 90's Mustang pulled along side and just wouldn't back off of me. I'm sure most all of us would agree that the temptation is a hard to resist even though we know better. I won't go into details in this thread but I'll just say, I gave my wife "the look" and she knew was was about to happen... *skipping ahead* the grin on her face was priceless! It still happens quite oftehn and 30 years ago I'm sure I'd react differently but I just repeat to myself that neither I nor my car have nothing to prove to anyone. Biting my lip does help some!

Only time yet, my wife was driving we were on our way home Christmas night. Thug looking dudes in a crappy lincoln towncar wannabe lowrider keeps pulling up beside us with his hand motioning to race, slowing down, passing us, etc. I just shook my head and held my hands up. My wife couldn't beleive it!
I think I am going to get a crisp new $100 bill and keep it in the console for these types. Next time I won't even look their direction, I will just hold it up for them to see. That will shut most of them up (note I said most, not all).

I didn't buy a Camaro to impress others. Street racing is childish and dangerous. If you want to put your car and yourself at risk on the track, that's fine. But, please don't street race. You put me and others I care about at risk. I don't care what a great driver or how careful you are.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but that's my 2 cents.
