I keep mine in the windshield. In VA the law also requires a front plate. I told the dealer NO. One of the mechanics showed me what he did to his GTO. Get a pair of sheet metal snips and cut the top and/or bottom of the plate so it will fit into the lower grill. Make sure not to cut any letters. Bend the plate slightly in the middle drill a few holes near the corners and use zip strips. I waiting for my first plate ticket or warning before I do it.

What do you mean bring one? Mine included the front plate bracket. It was however in the trunk waiting for me to install it.

I purchased mine in Houston and the dealer never asked about putting the front plate bracket on. It was in the trunk if I decided to install it. So far I haven't and have no intention of doing so although Texas requires it. I know my time is probably coming but I'll wait til that day comes. I've passed many city, county and highway patrol and no problems so far. I try and not draw any more attention to me than the car does but itself. I can't bring myself to purchase one that hides as I would certainly tear it off with some of our parking spots. Also, if the plate is in the hidden position, you're not going to be any better off in not displaying it at all. Just because the bracket and plate is there but its not in the display postion, you're just as guilty of not having it at all. I keep mine under my seat. May work or it may not, but thats my story!

Bought the same one as the OP but it has been too cold to install so can't tell you much other than it is very minimal in appearance. Also bought the color matched frame that goes with it.

This is the one I have.

If has foam covered mounts that hook onto the front grill so you can mount it higher or lower on the grille to your presonal liking.

installs securely, looks the same as if they driled the holes, but pops right off with two clips behind it so when I wanna show or shoot the car, I can do so easily with or without the front plate

Wow this is an old post brought back from the dead... But since it's back I might as well mention our bracket!

CNC Waterjet cut 3/16" (v8) or 1/4" (v6) aluminum, CNC bent, with a powder coated finish. Comes with all new SS hardware. Available in the bent style pictured, or a flat style. Very high quality, and cheaper than most! NO drilling, and NO adhesive required, as it bolts on to the bottom of the bumper cover using existing bolts!

Check it out at www.jacfab.com, or on our sale thread in the vendors section here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=186523

Jacfab- The most sensable alternative to the front plate dilemma. It actually enhances the look of the front end (especially the bent model). You can go the Hillbilly route sticking it in your window or ziptie or the "Will it stay on ?" sucker priced tape method, drill even more holes hide the plate route. This was a GREAT Idea and I'm thrilled with mine.
THIS IS AN UNPAID ENDORSEMENT
