So trying to read through the chit chat, cost to have a good shop install is about a day and a 1/2 labor, or approx $1,000- $1,500.

Knowing my skills I do believe I could do this, but hearing from those that have and those that had it done, having someone who has done this, do it and knowing they are doing it right with their shops rep online it seems to make $$$ and peace of mind since to have a good shop do it. I don't abuse my cars and rarely get on them, but having it there and knowing it is there is a great feeling.

Now living way out here in the Nothwest Portland/Seattle area great shops like Lingenfelter, SLP and the likes being thousands of miles away it is time to do some research to find a good shop a little closer.

Thank you for the help, Tuesday we sinstall SLP springs and bars, then next weekend Borla exhaust with the Airaid Intake, drive it for a few hundred miles and find a shop to add Maggie going to be all smiles this spring. JC
Yes you can do it on your own! The base install comes with good instructions, and a very safe calibration from Magnuson that will make most of the camaro fans very happy. What you want to be careful of, is when you start seeking for little here and there improvements when you don't have the proper equipment, or not taking the proper measures necessary. Some folks get a little caugh up in running the ragged edge of things for power, but end up with other problems later because they took them a bit too far in the beginning. Take your time and do it right and you will be happy. Good luck with the project!

i like the idea of a warranty but.......who does the warranty work if I am in Nebraska? Is it a total engine warranty since mine from Chevy will be void?

The Lingenfelter warranty covers the supercharger components and the engine assembly for 3 years or 36,000 miles. In most cases warranty repairs can be performed at the vehicle owner’s local Chevrolet dealer or by a ASE certified GM mechanic in the customers area. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering does require you to submit an estimate for approval before we will pay for repairs. Each case will be evaluated individually to determine if repairs can be performed correctly at repair facility in your area.

I feel much better having the warranty. It just seems really pricey. I like the idea of the resale value possibly being higher on a Lingenfelter car than having somebody else install. Im just trying to justify the extra 4 grand,,,
