OK, lets see. I currently drive a 2006 saturn ion, ordered a 2ss/rs ibm/beige/m6 on 1/6/10 and have a 17 y.o daughter. The saturn has 3 blemishes on it now that i dont know where they came from and she denies putting them there. hmmmmm........... So my answer would definitely be NO!!!!

How's he supposed to put the moves on her with you in the car!?

I let my wife's cousin and her bf take our 2007 C6. It was nothing really. Just a car.

Wait, so OP said the losers take limos for the night, and the cool kids show up in somebody else's nice car for 10 mins worth of pictures? I didn't go to prom all that long ago but this seems off.

So you are saying I should let them have my new (seriously, at that time probably weeks not even months old yet) car for the night so some dude can put the moves on my sister...I think not. Besides, it's just the ride to the school for grand march...they are on their own after that.

If a kid came up to me and said, "I'm your kid!" I'd be like "Whoaaa. First we need the DNA confirmation." If that came back positive I'd be then then then then hopefully and not :fighting0040: and he/she didn't but instead. I'd have to find out who the mother is, and yadda yadda yadda no way on God's green earth are you driving my car. But hey, you're welcome for the genetics.

I've already volunteered use of mine to my cousin should I get one by the time he goes to prom.

I don't think most of your hometowns follow the same traditions as mine. I live in a very small town where everyone knows everyone, and prom is a big thing which everyone comes out to watch.

Limos have been overdone, so if you can find a sweet ride to (not take for the night) show up in, its a big part of your prom experience.

I went to 3 proms and I was loaned a Prowler, a classic Chevelle, and a NICE Hotrod to drive in. I appreciated all three. The guy with the Hotrod drove us since I didn't have my liscence during my first prom ( took a girl who was a little old for me...lol). They made my prom more enjoyable.

Now my thought to myself is whether i'm going to be that nice guy or my love for my Camaro will get the best of me and not allow them to take it.

Maybe I will just have to go through an interview process.

My daughter wants me to get a Hybrid city bus to take her to the prom, says it would be "Epic". It's also $3500 to charter one for a night.
