I tried a week ago but I couldnt figure out which way to pry the tabs since I couldnt see them. Feeling them with my fingers told me nothing and I just gave up for now. Did you remove that radiator plate under the hood to get better access?

Thanks
Sure thing, when i get home tonight. I'll take some pictures of the back of the bowtie so you can see how the tabs are oriented.

Yes. The filler plate fills in the indention left by the bowtie, making the grill flush.

Why, you ask. Because some people like them and want their car to look different from the rest of the ones out there. Its called personal touch and styling. If you dont like it, dont put it on your car.

I personally would prefer the later-looking SS emblem on the front like the '06-'09 trailblazer SS. For now I'll just keep mine blacked out.

Wow! It looks so much better! Why didn't they do this from the factory!

I'm waiting on the SLP rear blackout plate before I do the rear though.

that's where they belong.

Here are pictures of the backside of the bowtie as well as the offset "SS" in the grill. Hope this helps visualize what it looks like when you're trying to remove it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Sweet thanks! Knowing which way to pry a tab before hand is sooo much easier than trying it blindly.

I found these on Ebay, they are Repos, but they are authentic. Still waiting to get them as I just ordered them a few days ago.
