Here's one my dad told me a long time ago.

Two guys are exploring in the Giza deserts and stumble upon an old oil lamp ni a tomb under a pyramid. They are ecstatic and rub the lamp expecting a genie. Sure enough, a genie pops out but there is a problem.

"Since both of you have found the lamp at the same time, I don't technically have a master yet. In order to determine who will get the three wishes, we shall hold a small contest."

With a snap of the genie's fingers, all three are back outside with their camels. The genie points towards an oasis off in the distance.

"The three wishes will go to the man who's camel comes in last in a race to that pond of that oasis."

The two man agree and take off at breakneck speed determined to get to the oasis first. Finally, one man realizing the terms of the contest begins to slow his pace slightly. The other man catches on as well and does the same, each slowing down a little more than the other.

Pretty soon both men are stopped on their camels, refusing to go any further. This stalemate continues for about 10 minutes until the genie shows up again. After offering two words of advice, the men are able to continue and finish the race.
