Fast power windows suck, they really suck when your fingers get caught in one while you are closing the door and your father closes the window without noticing. It hurt a lot, especially the extra time it took my old man to fumble with the switch. So if they are slow that's okay with me.

![]() Edit: I just thought of this - for 2009 there are federal regulations reguarding power window switches, that they all must be push down for down and pull up for up, to eliminate the possibility of someone accidentally rolling the windows up by leaning on the switch. Also, and this is something Scott might be able to answer, but I do believe along with that federal regulation that the windows must have automatic roll down if they sense an object (I think they call it anti-pinch). I love the car and I will have one. After 13 years driving 4th gens every day, yes it crossed my mind to ask about it with a team of enthusiasts going to Indy scouring over every detail and photographing everything. The bigger questions have already been answered. For example I love the fact that I won't have to ugrade the rearend this time after doing power adders (and maybe not the tranny). My 1st priority is maximum rwhp that won't break the bank and if they told me it only comes with crank windows I'd still get one and love it. That being said its a known 4th gen issue that I was curious about, so shoot me. Couldn't think of a better place to ask than Camaro5. And if you "don't get" some people maybe it takes getting to know them before shakin yer head in defeat.-Richard 85 Camaro, 93 Camaro, 99 SS heads/cam 12bolt, 6pt, stalled, 11sec car with slow power windows. ![]() My 4th Camaro will be a 5th gen SS with 400+hp starting point Can't wait.
