i've had mine for 9 months, this system was developed on my car, the blue one on magnaflows website. it's a very nice system for a daily driver, not to loud, no drone, wont annoy the nieghbors but gets attention when you put your foot in it. when our socal family members got together back in june we compared exhaust notes with all the major players supplying exhaust systems back then and the consesus was nice tone but the quietest of the bunch at idle and under acceleration. its a very nice sounding, high quality system.
now when i installed my long tubes, it completely changed, incredible sound, it's quite a bit louder in the car while cruising but not a droning that will give you a headache after 5 hours of driving, but when you get on it, it's very deep and loud, make no mistake, it's definitely not stealth at all. everyone has commented on how good it sounds at both idle, driving and getting on it.
i strongly recomend it, very happy with it both before and after the l/t's.

Put mine on this afternoon...not alot louder than stock..but the sound is alot better..nice and deep.
Fit and fiinsh is excellent...been a few years(2003) since I ran a Magnaflow system,I ran Borla on my Cobras. Magnaflow, has always been pretty good but their quality is better than ever IMO.. Everything fit like a glove....

It is nicely built and sounds great I think.

I bought mine from e-bay for $800 from the vendor mentioned earlier in this thread....guess what. it shipped directly from Magnaflow!! Bill said something like "promotional sales". I can only guess that Magnaflow is selling some stuff directly via e-bay or it is a Magnaflow employee...

I personally think the Magnaflow 16483 is the best system. It has a nice deep tone and it will support any power mods down the road. We're a Master WD for Magnaflow not just an Ebay seller in his underwear but I will match prices 99% of the time. You'll also get the full Magnaflow Warranty if you purchase through a Authorized Dealer.

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions! We have more product knowledge than anyone out there when it comes to Magnaflow along with the best prices!

Kind regards,

Ordered my system, should be here soon. Sounds like I made the right choice by going with the 14683.

Installed mine today...glad the 3" piping still clears the factory cross brace. Fit is excellent. Like others have mentioned, its slightly louder than stock. Only put 5 miles on it, so it may get louder over time.

Next up is ARH 2" LT + High Flow Cats...

BARELY louder than stock, but deeper....I'm getting older and was concerned it would be too loud...I've had cars so loud that they give you a headache after 15 minutes...wanted to keep the Camaro a little more friendly. Well with the stock manifolds it is actually a tad too quite still, but definitley has a deeper/better sound and volume increase is more noticable from outside the car than inside. Before the exhaust I could drive around and unless someone SAW the car might not even notice it...after the exhaust I reqularly see people turn to look even when just cruising...it's far from obnoxious but is noticable.
A few days after the install my wife was riding with me(didn't know I had put the exhaust on) I asker her if she noticed anything different...she thought for a second and said..no lol. When I told her I had put the exhuast on she said "oh,it does sound good"...bt obviously it wasn't loud enough to annoy her as she didn't even notice until I mentioned it.

I hear that. I had a '94 Camaro with 40 series Flowmasters on it when I was 18-19. Now that I'm 27 going on 28 I'd like something a little less obnoxious and something the wife won't b*tch about when she rides with.

Just to make sure, this is the 16483 3" Competition series you're talking about right?

If so that sounds like exactly what I need. I eventually plan on getting LT headers and I don't want something that will get super loud when I put them on.
