Well guys Scott did say the SS would not be $40K. He never said it would be $33k. Plus he has not said any thing about oppion prices.

Thank God this isn't the Wild West as I think by now I would be taken out back and shot for delivering such bad news. Please keep in mind that these are only Estimates! based on the rumours that I was told by employees that work there. What you do with the info is strickly up to you and you alone, but when a Saturn Sky costs $40,000 Canadian how can a Lord of Racing Camaro SS be any less?

Yeah, these next three months are going to suck having to wait for the prices to be released.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as a lot of people on here are. All I want is a Camaro LT/RS w black leather interior I don't need anything else.

I'm not planning on buying one until the end of summer 09, so if after my dad's employee discount, and whatever rebates (if there are any rebates) hopefully there should be after the Camaro has been out for 5-6 months... (maybe not) if it costs anywhere north of 27k then I too will be looking for another car. :(

Just looked at the US pricing for the Ford Mustang GT and compared it to what we pay in Canada and to quote the Great and Wise Jar Jar Binks! " We be getting screwed up here!"
If you find that the US pricing for the Camaro SS matches the US price of the Mustang GT ( $28, 000 ) Would someone please buy me one!

I didn't see the $45K US earlier. I hope they don't overlap Corvette pricing. Time will tell...

Lol what a joke Im so tired of these threads you dont know anything and neither does random workers from the plant. I mean come on 45k for a loaded ss soooooo the verts over 50k dont think so. GM is gonna compete w compitions prices plain and simple and if not then they are truely done and Ill take my business elsewhere.

I understand this is a rumor, so what I mean is, if it is true that an SS with options hits $40K, I'll look elsewhere. I know Scott said the SS wouldn't be $40K, but that's just base price. GM could try to market the SS as a bargain to the SRT8 and GT500 as opposed to being the RT and GT killer.

It is sad how much higher the prices are for Canadians, given our currencies are at near parity. That just aint right.

Saturn sky's aren't being produced 80-100k per year. The more you make the cheaper it becomes to produce.

To go from a Pontiac G8 with V6 to a G8 with a V8 is a $2500 price increase. A $6000 jump for the Camaro V6 to V8 seems like too much. I still expect to see a base SS at $29,000 to 29,900. It good marketing sense to keep that advertising price under $30,000

(everything is in U.S dollars)

I am guessing a loaded Camaro SS will be worth $55,000.00 CDN and probably like $40,000 US. Who knows though because they are being built here. I hope the interest rate on financing isn't like the CDN mustang at 7.99% OUCH!

37,000 for a V6?

45,000 for an SS?

And your wiling to pay 40 large for a V6?

If that was the case, this car wouldnt come close to selling 80-100,000 units.

That "SS" guess slightly worries me considering a comparable Challenger is 42,000, but the V6 guess? No way!

Scott Settlemire said it will be apples to apples though, so here's to patienty waiting for the official word...
