I hope it comes in on the lower end of the scale, but a little more might be fine. However, if a fully-loaded 2SS/RS comes in at more than 35-36K, I'm going to have to consider jumping into a more expensive BMW, even if it costs much more. I just can't justify paying more than that for a Camaro without a supercharged V-8.

It will be fun proving them wrong. But the new 370z will definately be pretty quick. (most likely low 13s in the 1/4 mile). But as you mentioned, the 370z is supposed to jump up a little in price compared to the previous model. |

Someone said an optioned out Mustang GT Premium was ~33K? Okay. If that's the case, then if a fully-optioned 2SS RS Camaro comes in over 35,000...I will be absolutely astounded.

So based on that and Fbodfathers replies as well I can't imagine an SS2/RS with everything possible being over 36k. |

I priced the Mustang GT Premium to my liking (as close as I can come to an equivalent to what I want on the Camaro) and it's consistently come in at $35,000 or more. |

I want to know why people want all the options. Is it really that desirable to have everything? How practical is it to worry about a fully loaded car? The vast majority of us will get about half of the options. Everyone should expect to pay a couple thousand more than base MSRP for their options. Base MSRP will be competitive with a Mustang GT. Add $1,500 at the most to Mustang pricing.

I just customized a Premium Mustang GT to match the standard specs for the SS/RS Camaro as close as possible and it came out at $32,360. I would expect to see the 2SS/RS within $1-2k of this point if GM wants to stay competitive. We may see that it could be worth quite a bit more than this and a bigger surplus over Mustang is fair, but GM won't have any chance at competing if it is more than $2k over the comparable Mustang.

To add onto my post above, I added in all of the extras, many of which don't appear to even be available for the Camaro that we know of at this time and it still only came out to $35,550. So again, this emphasizes that if the Camaro gets a premium over the Mustang of more than $1-2k, the average consumer will go to the Mustang and be able to get many more options and accessories.
