I was going to buy one too, but now I will wait till the shifters are fixed.
Wow! Thats weird. Must be they forgot to perma change the CNC program after a last fit session or something cuz the final proto fit great on mine. I know it was a mad scramble for them that week. I havent chatted with them yet cuz I know they got alot of work to catch up on after all the prep and attendance of the fest. Was there not enough clearance in the shift cover for the bottom piece?

well... seems there is some variation between cars... the one screw hole lined up perfectly on beauwulfs car, while it did not line up on my car.... Also the slot wasn't quite long enough on either car to allow the handle to go all the way up so our keys got "stuck" in the ignition... so just some very minor adjustments...

I really do like the shifter... can't wait to get it in!

Ahh, I see. I would never have guessed that. Hard to believe that GM lets their tolerances be that lax but then again they prolly didn't manufacture it so .....

There is quite a large difference in VIN between mine and John's cars. There could just be updated parts in mine. What's your vin (last 5 #s)?

So they adapted the V8 handle? Did they have to cut and grind on it to get it to work on yours?
