That's what i was thinking. $1700 for the RS? A spoiler, different headlights, and slightly different taillights. $1700??

Do you want a SS/RS to a SS? Just to clarify.

Checkout Dragoneyes Indy pics. Most people will not see the differences between the two. Emblems, tail lights, exhaust tips and lower facia is more agressive on the SS.

Take a look at the SS. Imagine HIDs for headlights, car-colored roof ditch moldings, red SS badges instead of silver, darker tail lights, and optional darker wheel treatment. That is now the RS SS.

It's worth noting that HIDs are not cheap. They are high-quality bulbs that last for a ridiculously long time, like LEDs. Most of the cost is in the HIDs. It's really a bargain for all of the other stuff.

somebody, on a diff thread, broke it down (RS/SS) to their opinion. something like:
HIDs: $700 Midnight Silver rims: $300 Roof Ditch Molding: $200 sooo, it really doesnt look that bad. as some are making it seem. btw: equals $1200

How long do you guys think it will be until someone offers an aftermarket package with afterburners like the concept? I really don't want to pay for the RS, but I need some other lights!

IMHO I wouldn't do aftermarket lights on this car unless you make it easy to put back stock. Mainly the aftermarket's never work as good nor do they last as long. Typically the factory nails the color temp of the HID's better than any aftermarket and tinting tail lights is difficult to pull off correctly.
Please future Camaro owners, do the world a favor and leave the "ghetto" mods to the imports. We have a chance here to have a high quality respectable car. Don't start with the Pep Boys crap. |

There's always gonna be the junk stuff made avaliable in the aftermarket. But, I believe we're gonna see some first class vendors with first class products to help us personalize our Camaro's. We may not agree with how someone dresses up their car, but I do respect their right to do so.

The RS package on an SS if you want polished wheels is priced too high obviously as it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out you are being charged for the painted wheels that you are not getting. Unless the price of the polished wheels within the RS package is subtracted, then it is simple common sense. The RS on a 2LT is the best buy and a good deal unless you also want polished wheels..
