Sometimes it is a mistake to judge the value of an activity simply because of the time it takes to do it ... A good example is the case of the engineer who was called to fix a computer very large and extremely complex ... a computer worth $ 12 million. Sitting in front of the screen, pressed a few keys, nodded his head, muttered something to himself and turned off the device.
He proceeded to take a small screwdriver from his pocket and turned around and half to a tiny screw. Then turn the computer on again and found that it was working perfectly. The president of the company was delighted and offered to pay the bill in the act . - "I owe you?" he asked. - "it is thousand dollars, if you please."
- "A thousand dollars?" A thousand dollars for a few moments of work? Thousand dollars for a simple little screw tightening? I know that my computer costs $ 12 million, but a thousand dollars is a crazy amount! The promissory note only if you send me a fully detailed invoice to justify it. "The engineer nodded and left. - The next morning, the president received the bill, read it carefully, shook his head, proceeded to pay on the spot without question. The bill read:
Details of services provided:
Tighten a screw ........... .... .... .... .... ... $ 1
Knowing which screw to tighten .............. $ 999

Send it to all professionals who daily face the disregard of those who by their own ignorance are not enough to understand and give them at least a moment of humor.

REMEMBER: "HE WINS BY WHAT HE KNOWS, NOT BY WHAT HE DOES."

Note:no offense intended, only for a little fun.

So was this issue caused by your aftermarket wiring causing a back feed on a low voltage reference wire causing something to burn?

Should be covered if they are covering everything else. How would they have found the problem if they didnt diagnose?

why would damage caused by a botched aftermarket install be covered by the factory warranty? A couple of the other things, but not any of that...

Onstar does not check everything. I didn't expect to get anything but called them today anyway. Wasn't sure if they would find a code to explain why my tach wasn't working and speedo and fuel guage were intermitent. AC was also pumping hot air. They had no code. Onstar don't check for those things.
