For so many years I was so jealous of my uncles because all I heard was stories about their 68 camaro's and 400 T/A etc etc. that they had when they were growing up. I grew up in the 80's/90's (i'm 25) and really, except for a couple very rare cases, the cars were garbage. No Icon's to speak of. This was my opportunity to own one, and my kids/nieces/nephews are going to hear the stories about it and want one too haha.

Across the street from my house is like the neighbourhood "hangout" there's always 10-15 kids in the front yard so I'm pretty popular when I come home haha. They all came over to check it out and get a closer look and the one little guy, couldn't have been more than 10, was asking how much I paid for it haha. and he goes "why would you pay that much for a new one? guys are getting them out of the states with 10,000 k's on them for like 30 grand" haha I didn't even know what to say. I just told him that I ordered mine from the factory EXACTLY the way I wanted it and plan to keep it forever, and someday he'll understand why I didn't want to buy a used one.

I love when people appreciate my car as much as I do - I had her out this weekend at a show - At one point I saw a guy taking a picture of his son - probably 4 or 5 - in front of my car and I thought it was the neatest thing....

It was fun to watch people prowl around and grin at your car when it makes you grin so much

I've been thinking the same thing. The kids turn their heads when I drive by. They can be 4 years old to teenagers. They always look. Some of them are saying Bumblebee to their parents. Some just stare. On the hiway the mothers follow me and I can see them pointing to my car telling their kids look Bumblebee or they drive beside me and take pictures with their cell phones. I took my car to a car show and more kids took pictures of my car than adults. Some adults asked questions about the transformers package. Most of the time they think that I put the stuff on the car and I have to explain that the car came that way.

I love hearing these stories. Just last night I was at a friend's house when a 13 year old boy came over, knocked on the door and asked if he could take a picture. I said go for it man. Then I let him sit in it and rev it up while I took a video for him. He was stoked! He told me all of his friends would be jealous.

This is quickly becoming my favorite thread. I was washing my car out on the street one day and all of sudden I heard this High-Pitched voice yell "Daddy!, It's a green Bumblez Bee!". The neighbors kid comes shooting down the stairs and runs over to me (or should I say the car) and just stares, then , in 3 seconds flat, bolts back off to his Dad yelling " Itsa Camaro! Green Bumblez Bee is a Camaro!" The father comes down the stairs and says "O wow, it is green. Cool Car man." while me and the dad are talking about the car, the son comes back out with someones phone, He called his mom to tell her about "The Green Bumblez Bee" lol

Made my day

so true on many counts...(kids loving this car) the movie is probably the component for that.. yesterday filling up at the gas station I had a little kid come over and ask if my car was the rear bumblebee even though its black (he thought it might actually transform into the yellow one) and he was TOTALLY SERIOUS... very cute.

Marketing this car might just be two prong...when we were kids we wanted the 69, or 70 camaro and now that we can afford one.. we got ours.. now kids will want this one in about 30 years too.

I think mine's more a mustang magnet. I've never noticed more on the road than when in mine. And for some reason, they all park near me at work unless I'm in the truck. Stupid mustangs stinking up my car.

I went to Home Depot, sunny day, sunroof open, windows down, playing Hotel California. Three Home Depot guys stood and watched as I parked it. As I passed them going in one of them said to me. "You're living my dream. Driving a Camaro, listening to the Eagles." I was living my dream too.

My welcome home the day I bought my car was a probably 10 year old boy on his bike as I turned onto my road whose mouth dropped open. Once he recovered, he gave me a thumbs up, a huge smile & said "nice ride". I was thrilled. He would ride his bike up & down my street for days after that & sometimes stop to take pictures or talk about the car. He brought a little girl by one day to show her. They both took pictures. Yeah, kids love this car. But then so do adults. (who am I kidding, most "adult" drivers look like kids to me).

If my garage is open or I'm washing her in the front yard, kids always stop by and say something. I had one kid around 12 make his mom turn the car around and stop by. He said he had seen her in the garage and wanted a closer look. She said he had been dying to see her up close.

Adults say stuff as well, but it's fun to have the kids hit the skids on their bikes and ask questions. My 10 year old daughter already has dibbs.

Are you implying that this car is for pedos? Not a chick magnet?
