it is used to direct air from the lower grille up into the radiator.

and i would assume it helps keep the bumper from flapping in the wind. not really sure where those 2 bolts on the bottom of the bumper mount to.

A blind monkey can install a trans cooler. It seriously takes (if your slow) about 20 to remove the front fascia, a couple minutes to cut your trans line and attach new fittings. The slowest part was designing my own install bracket. When I installed mine, I removed the bottom black plastic piece that holds the ambient air temp sensor, and the black air dam. I think it looks a bit meaner with the air damn gone and with the bottom plastic piece gone allows air to flow more freely into the cooler/ radiator. IMO though.

Now if this ADM has some cool hardware that looks and functions well I can fork over the change. If its a couple of flimsy aluminium straps and some rubber hose I'll pass. some of these kids have no clue.

Never seen the pic of the ADM kit before but it looks very nice. Appears very plug and play, which a $40 trans cooler wouldn't be. Just to make it clear, I ,nor a few others, never doubted the quality of ADM's trans cooler, just the need on a OEM daily driver car.
