Just let this crap go (about who is wrong/right bs), and let's get on to the real business of when we can officially add this option to our order....

Agreed my apologies

The way I see it I would now be paying $1670 for the headlights, tail lights, RS badges, and polished wheels. It is not like they are going to send you the set of midnight silver wheels which you just paid for on the RS option, but are now not going to get because you added the polished aluminum wheels option. Anyone else agree with me?
sorry to burst your bubble, but on an ss/rs package the badges will be ss not the rs. but i do agree it seems a bit high but so does the 4800 wheel package they have as well.

I would actually like the SS badges better than RS badges. I thought they would be RS badges because the last few SS/RS camaro pictures I have seen have had RS badges rather than RS badges. Thanks for the reply.

My dealer tried to make the change yesterday and it definitely didn't work. I sent him a note and asked him to try again on Thursday or Friday. I will let everyone know what happens.

I can't wait to find out if anyone can make these changes today thru Sat.

I don't plan on going back to the dealer until a few on here post they have been able to add the change

I am just happy we are going to be allowed to make this change, I think it will look awesome! 09 seems so far far away!

The weekly timeframe will only apply when the ACTUAL allocations hit the individual dealers. Please don't sweat changes until then.....take a deeep breath.....the waiting will be worth it

Ok, I will say the ordering screen has been major headaches. We were able to change, then not... We've tried to change colors, and the system won't accept "a change".... Trust me, it is turning out to be headaches.....Now, we really want people to get what they want, but there are MANY times the system just isn't allowing us to make a change.

Now the other question is, are these dealers talking about the GM order screen, or are they talking about AUTOBOOK? No, you can't select the polished wheels in AUTOBOOK yet, it will not allow it.

But I really feel for the dealer that has 67 allocations....and I'd guess 90% of those ordering want at least one change to their order.... If one guy does this, he's going to need some MEDS!

As of RIGHT NOW - this is what your dealer is prolly seeing:

In order to select [Q9J - Wheels, 20" Aluminum Polished] the system will override current selections in your configuration as follows:

Options to be Added

Options to be Removed

WRS - RS Exterior Package

The dealer I'm working with in Grapevine seemed to think there would be some type of price adjustment if I upgraded to polished wheels. I haven't ordered yet but still waiting on option pricing. If I had the patience I would wait until one of you guys realized you bite off more than you could pay and get an even better deal but the chance of me getting what I want are not worth the wait to me as this is going to be a car I will probably keep forever and I want to see first hand what all the colors are going to be like. I can wait but there WILL be one in my driveway at some point next year. Hopefully by April/June if not earlier.

A price adjustment for adding the polished aluminum wheels to a 2SS/RS would make sense to me. Since I have already ordered mine I may just have to call the dealer up today to see if they know anything about it.
