OK I still do not understand this - why would GM not offer a LSD on the car that will eventually be selling the most (V6 autos)? Or is that exactly why - it will be quite expensive to do this and they figure the V6 auto buyers who will mod their car to the extent that makes a LSD necessary will just be a minimal percentage of the buyers? I think it is a poor decision and all Camaros, if only for the reason that they are performance cars, should have a standard LSD. And could someone please explain how not having an LSD will affect the car, and how the traction/stability control systems will attempt to counter these effects?

Being that the Camaro is not an off-road vehicle...not intended to be anyways
...and assuming you don't race regularly with the V6 auto...you'll probably never notice that it doesn't have an lsd. The only thing V6 auto buyers will miss (from the factory) is being able to light up both rear tires. Some refer to this as being "peg-legged". Only one of the tires will spin if you try to burn out.:(Traction/stability control should still work exactly the same as the other cars. It is my understanding that on this particular car, the lsd and stabilitrac are completely separate from each other. As for why...I can only assume it's cost-related...and the bulk of V6 auto buyers aren't expected to race it....Personally...I still think it should be included, whether they think buyers will use it for performance or not.

^ah ok thanks for the answer Dragon. I had kinda thought that for the first model year they would include the LSD since many enthusiasts would be buying at this time, then maybe discontinue as yes most people do not really need one. I am not going to be racing mine and I do not peel out or take turns at crazy speeds or anything so I will probably never notice the absence of it anyways. Thanks again!

Tapshift is the "sport" mode correct? Tiptronic right? I thought only the SS had that?

I am taking a manual too, even though our streets are crappy enough to warrant an automatic, only its about engine break - something nobody seems to be considering.Speedwise its about the driver, with the automatic between a very good driver and a very poor one. Unless racing , I seriously doubt you'll feel the difference |

Yes - all trims will have paddle shifters when equipped with the auto trans.
