Possible Production Date Change - Page 3 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

i tihnk that means they just changed it, weve heard feb 16th for the longest time, but w.e the earlier the better, well kinda, i would have to store my car in the garage until they take all the sand and salt of the streets, actually, i hope mine comes in April. I wish i lived in the states, better prices, better taxes, and for the foremost, better Weather. I hope we have a short winter, so i can cruise the streets in my Camaro!
3-6 test pilots ad day, wow, thats alot of cars, what are the chances of someone having one in Ontario? I think i might just stake outside Oshawa to get some pics of these pilots shipping out

end of march would be perfect, i ordered the first day when it was avialable for canadians, and i was first to order(but that doesnt really matter because of the difference between v6 and v8). Thats great news, i remember reading an article mentioning the camaro being produced and shipped out right away. I think it was Cheryl Pitcher who said it, not sure.

Thanks for passing along the info, Dylan. Not to be rude, but we'll keep this as rumor until confirmed by GM.

Spike, like you, I was told (from a source) that they were putting out 3 a week....since they wanted perfect build quality. But, that could have EASILY ramped up since I was told. So.... But, i honestly don't know why there would be a delay. No reason given yet.

Let's all hold off for confirmation.

I can understand why they would build a small number at first, but how long do any of us think they will take to ramp up to near full production of more than 100-200/ day? I've always wondered if early production cars are better or worse. Like the many people believe don't buy a car built on friday or monday.
If Feb 16th is still the day, which i'm going to beleive until a change has been made "official", will they be at "most" dealers by the end of February like GM has been saying since July?
