Doing the dash that way is a lot of work. The gap (weather stripping) method is preferred by most.

I'd like to replace them, but would want plain or second-hand ones so I can paint/customise them myself ... if anywhere has them for sale? (doors & dash that is).

Standard, 1/4" foam with adhesive.

These kits include everything that you need to add multicolor (RGB) ABL to your 5th-gen Camaro...

Dash
Two light pipes (driver and passenger side)
Three wired, RGB LEDs
NightOwl LP module
Connection harness

Doors (using stock pipes on 2LT/2SS/ZL1)
Four wired, RGB LEDs
Two NightOwl LP modules
Two Connection harnesses

Doors (for full-panel ABL)
Eight wired, RGB LEDs
Two NightOwl LP modules
Two connection harnesses
Optional Pipes: Two (add to stock), or, four (replace stock)

If you don't already have a NightOwl system, just add a Master module, and, optionally, a key-fob remote, and you are set!

Components also available individually for upgrading existing installs.

Once I got the full kit here, what would I need for install? Running a complete factory setup at the moment

I am going to do a short condensed DIY on the doors (top only) and dash after I get finished with some other mods. The other threads are ALOT of reading.. so I will try to keep it fairly concise. I will write it soon, but it may be a week or two before I get to it so bear with me.
I used the SJM pipes for the dash and Night Owl kits for both doors and dash.
I will also add my little variation on footwells being tied into the ABL circuit.
