i'm sorry if this was covered, but it's late and i'm too tired to look for it. but why is it that the production v6 pics show halos but the SS we saw a week or so ago didn't have them? and will the manual transmission v8 have AFM?

It seems pretty clear to me that halos are not going to be the standard headlight on any model. I think all models are going to have the headlights from the black prepo thread that got locked last week. It seems the halos are going to be a part of the "RS" package that you can add to any model.

^^That is just speculation but I'm pretty sure that is what the Edmunds ad was saying. We'll know for sure on Monday.

If all that is true, the only thing that baffles me is that the RS package supposedly comes with 20" rims that are standard on the SS....so....if I buy an SS is the RS package going to be cheaper since the rims are already standard....or will it come with different rims on the SS? Maybe it'll come with upgraded rims on the SS that will not even be available with the V6?????

"The V6 LS comes with 18-inch steel wheels as standard equipment. Various trim levels and options will get you 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels. Add the RS package and the V6 model is fitted with the 20-inch tires that come standard on the SS. Unlike the RS package of the first-generation Camaro, there will be no headlight covers. But the RS trim level (available for both V6 and SS cars) does include HID headlamps with a sassy and BMW-inspired halo of LED lights around the main element, plus dark taillight lenses and 20-inch tires and a little rear spoiler." -Edmunds

BBfan24, it appears no AFM with the manual, but you do get an extra 20 hp with the manual....

It was in Popular Hotrodding a few months ago. They posted some of the pricing for it. I think they had the SS at around $35,000 dollars. A V8 Mustang is around $25,000.

Hey don't quote me. This was Popular Hotrodding reporting this.

and how is that competitive to the Mustang? It's closer to the Challenger!

Nice, 3700 lb curb weight? Eat my exhaust fatty Challengers and Chargers, 425 hp won't be enough with a 4,000 lb + curb weight!

below is a schematic of two hemi owners with potty mouth from talking smack.
