There was a post from an owner, somewhere back in the great abyss between yesterday & today.

I'll see if I can find it... If I'm not back in 5 minutes, call my wife...

I'M GOIN IN! (where are those suburbans when you need them!!!)

I 110% agree, been saying that since page 5 or 6, gave up around page 10 probably.....

I'm sure it will be "news'ed" on the front page when an official update is announced, possibly even a new thread as Scotty has suggested. This thread is a lost cause, just start working on a new novel using smilies, it will be burried before this night is over...

CamaroScotty - what was your original allocation number and how many of those cars have been delivered?
NOT including the GM Bonus cars that were ordered and configured - 6, of which 3 are delivered, and one in process. and possibly two will go in tomorrow, pending tomorrows news.

Problems can happen, thats part of a new car run.

User has 1 post (this one) registered this month, so take it or leave it. But it certainly sounds like what has been going with other vehicle forums with similar transmissions (Challenger, GT500), and how I would suspect it would be handled. Nothing fishy in the story to doubt.

Now, back to meaningless drabble until we get word from GM, continue.

Is the reason for the hold because of the cost to fix this issue at the dealer or because they want to stop shipping potentially bad trannies?

I for one do not plan on dumping at 6 grand anytime soon. So as far as I am concerened move me out of QC and let me have the car. I am happy to get it fixed later if I have one of the bad transmissions. I even promise not to complain......

You can bet I will "Test It" shortly after delivery.
And mine is right behind Maro's as well. Anxiously waiting to hear form the QC report in the morning.

It is isn't it? I like seeing the inside of stuff like that. Mind you, I don't like that it's now broke, but getting a look at stuff is interesting... even in a morbid... kind of way lol.

Here's a thought....

Another good point to GM putting SS M6s on hold and correcting this problem:

SS A6s will be taking up the slack in production!

Can someone answer the following question , please ?

What I would like to know is HOW do they check the transmission ? Can't they check it BEFORE it is installed ? So do they complete the car , drive it over to a parking lot then do a few "clutch dumps" @ 5000 rpms and if it doesn’t blow up, it's good to go ?
