Richey Collision pricing seems VERY reasonable to me. In my discussions with Chris he stated that the ZL1 bumper will offer better ventilation into the engine compartment. That, coupled with my aftermarket hood with twin vents, should provide good air flow through the engine bay.

My only concern was that I wanted to keep the T-Rex grill. Chris says I will be able to keep the top one that covers the lights but will end up losing the lower grill, but I am ok with that.

Cool. Yeah the top grill is the same for sure. I've done all the homework for transition, but I have my sights on e85 first!

I feel bad for the folks at Corpus with the hurricane bearing down on them. It is already windy here and the storm is hundreds of miles from me. Been a long time since Ike and you have to figure that Texas is past due for another storm, but oh man, hurricanes are not my idea of fun.

Well today was supposed to be the track rental day, got hurricane Harvey instead.

Good news though . . . My tires are here, now all I need is for Weld to get the wheels finished so I can get these suckers on the road!

Think I am going to like the 15's on the rear too! Those are some meaty looking tires. My current 18" M/T ET Street R's on the rear bites really good so with the 15" ET's and rim bolting, I can probably drop the air pressure down a bit, say from 18 to 15 psi and give it a whirl.

I am very anxious to see how this install turns out but I have GREAT confidence in the quality of work that I will get from Richey Collision! I till try to get this last (front) shot replaced with one that is not blurry, but it sort of gives you a feel for how it will look if you use a little imagination!

Yes, I got the email from Royal Purple saying the track would be closed for the remainder of 2017 so it could be used as a staging yard for flood vehicles, but then when I went to their website it is showing 3 upcoming track rentals sponsored by Texas Speed Syndicate???

I really don't know what to believe. Either way, all of the upcoming rentals are on Sunday and I wont be going cause I would rather be at church that day.

I will be interested to see what the total package will look like with the ZL1 front end and polished Weld's all around. At some point I will have to begin thinking about selling my Forgeline's. I am probably gonna take it on the chin cause they were expensive wheels.
