I posted the Toyota paint code that matches if anyone needs that.

Ok, thanks for the info. Perhaps we can work on figuring out a nicer way to to the left side. I taped off the end of the tube myself.

You know...I think I know the one you are talking about...and it was pretty close. I couldn't tell the difference in the two when they were painted...

I've been looking for smaller light pipe but cannot find any in the legth that one would need to complete this project. Has anyone used or thought of using eletroluminescent wire? I'm not sure how it would look behind there but I am 99% sure it will fit behind the panel without displacing the panel. Since I am going for green (the color of my inserts) I do not want to have a gap where you can see the Ice Blue LED light pipe. That is the only reason I ask about the EL wire.

Just as an FYI.. you don't see a blue or red light pipe. When I look down into it during the day it is clear and really you can see the reflective strip, but it isn't colored, really. I don't really see the color until night time.

Hey now, me having that 2000 Camry got us a paint code that matches the interior. I only found that out on accident.

It's not as bad as that, remember Nummi, GM and Toyota built cars together for a time. Which is my theory about why this color wound up on the camaro.

1B2 or Antique Sage pearl. The OEM paint pen is a match, and also the duplicolor bottle that you can get at autozone. The rustoleum paint was reported to me by another c5 member to be more green than the Toyota paint.

Yep. There's a n entire DIY thread on el wire. Heck...I even tried installing the el wire in my car and it wasn't all that bad. The only reason I took it out was because the light wasn't perfect. The wire was scruntched up and that made the light squiggley...if you will

Oh, I know...I'm just messing around. I saw that same color in autozone and was like....dang...not even a GM color that could come close. But, Toyota hit the nail on the head! :laugh

At night is when I'm most worried about seeing it since my panels are green and that is the color of light that I'm going for... to match my doors. I don't want to see green light in most places and the blue peeking out from the cracks.

I've never worked with EL wire. Is it very pliable or does it try to retain the coil shape from being rolled up?

There are some SITe about doing the light with EL wire, and you should be able to find them pretty quick by searching.

Yes, that would be a problem then. I do believe Ofer was working on the green LED alternative.

Just my luck....ordered up the harness to splice off the factory plug behind the cluster to make it easy.

WRONG! The connector is there for the drivers side led, but there is no plug behind the cluster for the splitter.
