Something is terribly wrong. We ARE in Shno's House of Z and there isn't a Z on Fen's list?

Excerpts from CU.

Consumer Reports said Toyota still has some issues and noted that the best-selling Camry is "average" in reliability. "The (sudden unintended acceleration) issue that came out really was the catalyst to changing Toyota across the board," said David Champion, senior director of Consumer Reports' auto test center. Champion said he has talked to Toyota engineers who acknowledge "we've let things slip."

General Motors Co. fell from two category winners: Its Chevrolet Avalanche was named best pickup truck. Last year, the Chevy Silverado 1500 won the top honors among trucks. "They are doing reasonably well in terms of reliability," Champion said, adding "we still think GM has some ways to go." GM had the second highest number of recommended vehicles by Consumer Reports, which recommended 15 of its 29 vehicles. That's up from seven recommended last year for GM.

GM doubles the number of recommended vehicles and is doing 'reasonably well'.

Toyota engineers admit they have 'let things (quality) slip'.

Yet Toyota leads all automakers at CU with three Top Picks.

(CU) On one commute, his range in a Leaf was at 43 miles when he turned onto an eight-mile stretch of highway, but it fell from 43 to 16 miles after eight miles at 70 mph.

"When you are looking at purely dollars and cents, it (the Volt) doesn't really make a lot of sense. The Volt isn't particularly efficient as an electric vehicle and it's not particularly good as a gas vehicle either in terms of fuel economy," said David Champion, the senior director of Consumer Reports auto testing center at a meeting with reporters here.

"If you drive about 70 miles, a Prius will actually get you more miles per gallon than the Volt does," Champion said.

Translation: Toyota is perfect and nothing GM does will ever be good enough for CU.

Did you know you don't have to own the car to actually respond to their survey?

Over 900 Volts sold since launch. Compared to the hundred or so Leafs Nissan has sold.

This isn't even a fair fight.

This will be a telling story as it progresses. Mr. Champion at CR has his opinion, flawed as it maight be..................or his head is so far up Toyotas %^&()&*(%. But we'll let the people vote. If they told us the truth, the biggest fear in EVs is range anxiety and there is only one solution to that.......................the Chevrolet Volt.

I strolled out of class today, happy that my week was over, when I noticed something in the parking lot...

A Summit White Cruze Eco and an Ice Blue Metallic Cruze 2LT.

The Cruzes are taking over.

They're flipping everywhere.

I drove home from work the other day and passed 2 in the opposite lane, followed one for a few miles, and saw another one pull in behind me shortly before my house. ALL WITHIN 20 MINUTES!!!

I was giggling like a schoolgirl the whole time.
