I can't tell you how pleased I am to see them around campus. Majority of them are being driven by college kids. GM's on to something here...now it's time to start planning continual updates to the car every year. No more letting cars sit and wither on the vine like the Cobalt.

The thought on the Cruze is there is a segment that doesn't want a car like the Focus or Elantra.

A finely built, nice looking car with a great interior, great mileage and that drives very well is has been a great formula in the past in this segment. Some of the folks whose opinion matters within GM are VERY high on the Cruze ECO. Same engine, lighter better mileage and truly a great car. I haven't driven the ECO yet, but hope to soon.

I have a Volt for the weekend. The trip computer still says 250+ MPG. Bite me Consumer Reports.

Pedders Xa coilovers would save 14 pounds on the ECO Cruse

Holy smokes the Cruze is a riot to drive!! I'm driving a 2LT with the
RS pkg and it's really sharp. I'll bet a Pedders Suspension upgrade would
make even more fun. I saw the race version at Autorama and was surprised to see it was an automatic. Possible manual trans in the future????

Nice. Maybe take a few pictures when you have time if you aren't getting the rain we are?

Rain? I wish. We had even more snow.

BTW the Volt has no problems driving in a snow storm.............in case anyone was wondering.

It's certainly a nice car and should be fun to drive. Won't be as economical as you might like.

4,995 seems a bit high, but maybe it's just me.

But I always liked the W-car Coupes. Nice lines.

Any rust?

Nope, my dad went to buy the car today and the driver's side window won't close correctly now. Not sure what's going on with it right now, I'll find out when I get off work.

That was a problem with the early coupes. They used the sedan motor on the much larger coupe glass and it didn't work very well.

Any idea how much it would cost to fix?

I was just reading the new Consumer Reports before I logged on. They have a article devoted to their initial tests of a Volt. They specifically slam the trip computer and say its "misleading because it doesnt count the electricity used". Just FYI.
Our company will be getting 12 of them. I can't wait to drive one and see what it is like.

When the "experts" over there discover a way to carry around electricity in "gallon" form....I'll pay attention to their squawking...
