Okay, 2001 Oldsmobile Alero GX Coupe, 54k miles, $4200 asking price, will try for $3500-3800.

N-body away!

No clue. But not hard to do

Miles per BTU lol. Just seems hard for some to accept GMs position on some things. Guarantee it would be different if Toyota or Merecedes did the Volt. Seems like Americans can't accept something done by Americans.

I used to believe this was because we were "hard on ourselves"....and I use the term "we" lightly; there are some in this country I would rather not associate myself with - even if it were just to associate that neither of us wish to associate with each other..........

Now, I think there are too many self-made imbeciles populating our lands....I'd need a serious convincing otherwise...

It's a bit of a National Pride deficit in my mind. If you go to Germany, the stuff made by Germans in Germany is better. PERIOD. No discussion.

Here, regardless of how good, we have a tendancy to believe if it came from someplace else it must be better. Solid German cars....................cleverly engineered Japanese cars.

I laugh when I go to California. It's not just the Toyotas and Hondas (certainly good for CR and JD Power) but it's Suzukis and Mitsubishis. Anything not from here seems to be viewed as better.

At least with computing devices, we have something left. Thanks Apple (even though your stuff isn't made here) LOL

All that, too.

For our part, we still design and engineer things for the most part....manufacturing may have left for the better portion...but we're still the brains of the operation...generally.

And yet, here lies the contradiction, suppose if GM were to ship ALL their manufacturing to "outstanding" Japanese or German assembly and production plants, and import all its vehicles...or if GM were to import their foreign-market vehicles and market them as such.....

OH, the HORROR......

America: make up your damn mind.

As I said....I find the American populace appearing more and more stupid by the second - which upsets me a great deal. Only a few really see the problem, and even less will acknowledge it for fear of....who knows what.

Well back to a more lively note..............Fen, we want pics of your Oldsmobile.

And by the way, where is Shnomac? I get nervous when he isn't at least in once in a while to say "hi". Wait, that wasn't more lively.

Ok so about the next Unicorn:

Two hunters were in a lodge, making small talk. One of them asked the other, "So, what do you hunt?"
He answered, "I hunt unicorns."

The first hunter was startled, but said, "Really? How do you do that?"

The other answered "I find a virgin and hire her to help me. The virgin sits around in the woods until a unicorn comes to her. When it does, it sets off a snare."

The first hunter said "Boy, they must be hard to find. I've heard of them, but I've never seen one."

The second hunter said "Yeah, and there aren't many unicorns around, either!"

Haha I haven't even gone to look at the car yet. I'm going on Friday probably.

Going to have to see if I can get by without power windows. So spoiled.
