Nice job. Not sure what your 60ft time was, but that's where it is at. Nail that launch and 12's will be yours.

Did you do the TB and the VR at the same time?

There is absolutely no concern at all in regards to heat soak, you can run the car for hours and lay your hand on it. It will be warm at best.

There is no silver bullet for making power with these intakes guys. They are all within a few hp power of each other. Once you get the basic bolt-on done you are subject to the limitations of the engine. No Intake is going to make 45rwhp so pick one install it and go have fun.

Quoting myself here. I did in fact sell my cai inc on the classifieds and picked up the vr.
They are based in Houston so I just picked it from their shop. Patrick was great to deal with and I got a good deal without asking.

I can tell you guys that nobody on this thread has exaggerated, the performance of this system is remarkable. The car is flat out faster, no doubt.
It is not much louder than stock, maybe not at all. It even seems quieter at WOT. If sound is what you are after this is not the airbox for you.

The biggest down side is just the quality of the kit. I had to work on the maf housing because the opening wasn't big enough to get the sensor in. The radiator bracing is not the best, i'd like to see some fabricated brackets included in the kit rather than the long bolts. I'm not using them at the moment, radiator has about an inch of travel. Overall I'm happy, I wanted performance and I am not disappointed. I got a lot more power than I expected. Never imagined that an airbox could make this much of a difference.

Get some L brackets from your local hardware store. Use them to hold the unit in place instead of the radiator brackets. Works great and the intake is solidly planted.

I was more concerned with the radiator, i'm going to walk around home depot and see if I can come up with something.

Dont' give it any mind, there is a car with over 50k in MI on a Vararam and it has no problems with the radiator and it has no bolts or any other way of holding it in place.

The radiator is solidly planted as well with these L brackets.

Yeah, the radiator going anywhere should be the least of your concerns. Under any type of driving it should stay rock solid. What may happen in an accident is an unknown though. The good news is, as far as I know, no one with a Vararam intake has ever had an accident.

Sorry if I misread, but should I be worried about something else with the vr?
