We rolled around in Texas2SS's car for a while today. Almost got door dinged and rear ended just getting some lunch! Time to get that car on a trailor and back in the garage. That's exactly why I never leave the comfort of the suburbs. Just as many idiots... there's just more space in between them .

The car sounds mean and it's a whiplash machine. That GForce rear end is no friggin joke either. What a monster.

Damnit.. Another fitment issue. I'm trying to get this 4" aluminum driveshaft to fit but it keeps hitting the heat shield gaurding the fuel tank.. I've already heavily modified the shield.

Option 1 - grind the weld holding the counterweights on the driveshaft so it's flat.

Option 2 - Get rid of the heat shield gaurding the DS.

Option 3 - something better??

So I was just messing with google maps, and it would only take me twice as long as you to get there if i was on a BICYCLE! Maybe you can get axis to steal a helicopter for a few days and hoist you northeasterners out to the fest. It has underhead cams, long throw shifter, AND hot air intakes. It should be able to lift a couple cars if he adds some stickers!

Does it hit when it's running, or are you still trying to install it? Only thing I'm coming up with on searches is that the rubber bushings for the diff can allow too much slop.

Bus off?

I have pfadt solid subframe bushings. stock mounted diff and bushings. a6. 4" d driveshaft. I'm thinking it's the 4" part thats screwing me right now.

I'm thinking take off the heatshield if its safe.

And bend the metal hangers holding the ebrake lines to the side a little?

WWYD?

Ive been looking at your posts bud, damn a 4" ds hu? its a must have? whos it from? I would not grind the welds though, if anything take the heat shield off at least for the time being. maybe you can just cut the section of the heat shield?
