Water/Methanol injection is probably what is keeping my engine alive, it helps so much cooling the chamber. I want to say that anything over 12 PSI on stock internals will require WMI for longevity.

Going to look at replacing it with a 454 LSX with twin turbo's?
Ha, either that or an old school carbed big block with lots of nitrous.

Now I have to make a decision whether I just get a used engine and throw it in there and leave the boost under 12 or forge the motor.. I really wasn't ready to go there yet plus just dropped a bunch on these wheels. I'll get this motor out and tear it down within the next few days and go from there.

Sure do wish I had an extra 5 of 6k laying around to blow...

Charge pipe and throttle body has a lot of oil in it.

Are the check valves on the PCV still working? That might be from boost pressure in the crankcase.

Or the oil seals failed on the compressor side of the turbo.

Check valves seem to be working fine, also turbos look good as far as I can tell. There not much oil in the intake side of the turbos or the boost piping.

Still working on it, haven't had a whole lot of time with it. The tranny's ready to drop but I can't get the torque convertor bolts out since the motor is seized. Hopefully there's enough room to pull it with the convertor staying with the flexplate.

Damn that's a bummer :( I'll donate some rods for a good cause, you will need custom pistons though. If you want to go down that road, let me know.

I like donations, I'm spending all my rat rod money over here!

The 6L50 is small so you might be able to slide it back enough to remove it without the torque converter attached to it. I had plenty of room when I did the converter install and I was on jackstands.

I have faith that it will come out. If not then I'll take a hammer to the oil pan and unlock the motor lol.

After looking at pictures of broken ring lands on Google and thinking about it I think you're right. The ring lands had to have gone. Still haven't had a chance to pull it yet but the piston is all chewed up and the edges of the piston definitely don't look good from what i can see through the spark plug hole. If a rod or rod bolts went I think the poston top would look a lot better.

Question for you-what are you doing/planning on doing for a clutch? I would imagine the factory clutch is horrible with this setup?
