Got some ABM paint for my engine cover...should I do the black part and leave the silver silver with ABM letters? Or paint the silver ABM with white letters and leave the black part black?

TripleB with your color scheme I would paint the silver ABM, and do red CHEVROLET and White something else, like Camaro, with Red SS etc or something to that effect on the cover. Keep the Black part black.

I plan to paint my black part ABM and repaint the silver SIM (real silver not the weird silver it is now) with Red letters. to go along with my theme.

Since you have the V8 engine cover i say paint the black part ABM and leave the silver just the way it is. If you want you can add white to the letters. I also like the second option you posted.

Hey i saw Criswell Chevy in Gaithersburg, MD has a ABM 2ss/rs 6spd with 15k on the clock. They wanted 31k or something like that. I think it is to high but i thought i would put this out there is anyone is looking.

Looks awesome Vance!! I saw some others do that and wondered what it would look like on ABM. I worry the middle black part would be too much ABM.

For the record, I have a 2SS/RS ABM. I've taken the red SS's off and replaced with the white ones. I have white hash marks on the drivers side. I have white bowties. I put white vinyl on the bowties on the center caps. I'm going to painty calipers white with ABM lettering. Also considering the white interior panels.

Here's the one I did for my car. I did it just for a couple shows and it's all coming off over the winter...for good. I added a stainless SS logo from EmblemPros also.

Thanks for the pic! That's one of my ideas, but with white lettering and maybe not the glossy black.

The black is actually just a straight basecoat black that I did not clearcoat, so it's more of a 60% satin or so. The picture is just crappy cause it's from my phone, and it was a super sunny day.
GL with your project. Masking that sucker off was a PITA!!!
