Look at the bright side, no allocation losses to SF means more ZL1 availability for the rest of us "normal" people....

A perceived exclusivity at all costs.

It started when civilization did...when clan members would acquire rare, foreign items of value.

I completely made that up, but I don't think it's far from the truth.

So would it not be more exclusive to own a American car in a sea of foreign cars?

As for the second part.... but oddly it could have some truth to it

You'd think, right?? I just wonder if it gets to a point where life becomes so automatic for some that they don't make thoughtful choices like what you say.

God help I never get that way...

Can you see a bunch of cavemen comparing different stones they found from across the forest?

It's not too far from the truth at all.

A lot of San Franciscans believe they're better than the rest of the country. Therefore, they wouldn't be caught dead driving what they perceive to be a "commoner's car."

The irony in that situation is that so much bad press regarding import manufacturers stems from California, yet the sheep there still refuse to switch.

It's so easy a caveman could do it.........................but they don't so does that mean they are actually lower than cavemen?

But honestly, this is the reputation GM is trying so hard to overcome. It's not like the Japanese made great products in the 70's and 80's, they just made slightly more reliable products and enough so that the Big 3 all seemed to be inferior. A lot of reasons for that, not for this thread though. But for the most part, GM, Ford and Chrysler are making competitive and even superior products with tremendous value. That's why the Equinox and Cruze (just a few examples) are selling so well without rebates or incentives. Solid cars, great styling, reliable with HUGE value. And I can assure you this is just the start of an onslaught of outstanding and exciting products. It will take time, but I hope that someday GM (and Ford and Chrysler) are able to find success on the coasts again.

Solution:

Eject the coasts....this brings the "coast" inland to a receptive market...and creates new "islands" that will be so shell-shocked, they may finally notice the domestics again.

Problem Solved. I'm a genius.

Hey Number 3,

Not sure if you can look this up, but do you know what the part number for the Vortec badge from the '07-'10 HD trucks is?

I've tried a few websites and I think what they're listing is the 2500HD/3500HD badge, not the Vortec one.

Well jeeze, Fen. I'd have to know why before I went to the effort. Is that like a challenge or a quiz or something? Of course I can get a P/N.
