Hmm, I wasn't aware that it would be an engine dyno. Wouldn't that kinda be useless tho. I mean, we all use chasis dynos. An engine dyno would just give inflated numbers. But I guess it would be easier and and more convenient to use an engine dyno. I wonder if the vendors would have to get permission from the actual manufacturer to participate...

Engine dynos are the best controlled environment and this is the best way to measure any gains in hp and TQ.

Unfortunately I have a shop do my work for me, I've gotten lazy in my old age. I believe the oil cooler comes with it's own heat exchange which mounts on or around the radiator. There is am adapter needed for the oil filter itself, which was a pain. Your oil capacity will go up by a quart or 2. There is also something with the oil temp guage, it doesn't show the actual oil temp, rather it shows the CPUs guess of what the oil temp is. So according to your oil temp guage it will show the oil cooler does nothing lol. I have an earls oil cooler.

If we are talking about the "Header Shootout" I'm all for it and I believe the engine dyno is the best way for us to decipher which headers perform the best. Yes the numbers will be higher than a chassis dyno but they will be more consistent.
I think I was one of if not the first to say start a PayPal account and get some donations. I'm all for throwing in some cash tho get some reliable numbers.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same. Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different. |

Jason is donating time and facilities like stated.
Just need a few more manufacturers or vendors to volunteer their products.

The oil does not come thru the radiator. It has its own cooler right next to the block on the driver side just above the pan.

Ya I know about the puny one on the side of the block, see it every time I change the oil. I can't remember who but someone said it ran through the radiator as well? Thought that was a little odd. Trans yes but oil? I couldn't help it. I had to ask him. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=1#post6933654

where would be the best place to install my Tfitting and fuel pressure sending unit for my Pressure gauge? Or does it not matter, just anywhere on the fuel line?

I'd hook mine up at the tip of the rail. Just remove the schrader valve (put lots of rags when it spills, it's slow so don't worry) then make sure you put a lil Teflon tape and screw the gauge on it. Or what kind of gauge do you have?
