Hello, all my friendz!

Today...while on the highway...who should I come upon, but a gentlemen driving a Cherry Red Chevy Volt!

Of course I..."let all the traffic slow to behind me"...so I could catch sight of the front end, and he pulled in behind be so the truck to our right could..."slow down to behind us both"...and wow...

That is a SLICK looking car.

...on another positive note, I have yet to see one of those godawful leafs....

Cost over $200k.

Very nice but I cant believe they haven't modernized the front end of busses since the 70's. Big rigs and medium dutys got updated about a decade ago but not too many busses. Are there any out there with newer motor home style headlights to give it that brand new 2011 look.

The Novas were fairly modern looking. Too bad they were plagued with problems.

Both of them have already been sent off to the junkyard.

#3 I was thinking about some marketing concepts for Pedders late last night when my mind strayed to the Volt and Leaf commercials. I think it is time to mulch the leaves. It would take too much time to do a story board so we'll do it with bullet points.

1. Two families are leaving to visit their Boomer Grand Parents. One leaving in a Leaf. One Leaving in the Volt. The Volt accepts all the people, gifts and luggage comfortably. The identical load of gifts, luggage and people do not fit in the Leaf so gifts are left behind. The Leaf family is sad.

2. Both drivers unplug and the journey starts. The Boomer Grand parents are Eco Hippies living in the mountains in picture perfect cabins with freshly fallen snow. Both have solar and wind. Both are preparing holiday dinner.

3. The Volt transitions to gasoline charge mode after 38 miles. They continue to be happy and drive along. At 38 miles the Leaf driver's face shows great concern.

4. The Leaf grand parents are quietly eating alone. We find the Leaf family at a greasy spoon eating bad food and looking out the window while the Leaf takes forever to charge by a patched up extension cord strung though the window. The lights flicker. The screen goes dark.

5. The Volt family arrives relaxed and happy. They bring out all their gifts and luggage. It is a picture perfect family reunion with a holiday feast on the table.

6. The scene is then framed with a holiday wreath. The family fades to a new Eco Green Chevy Bow Tie. Chevy Runs Deep.

Love it Pete! I do have to say however, those Leaf commercials are clever. Too bad the advertising agency made a better commercial than Nissan did a car!

I like it. GM isn't usually that mean....................unless you count Howy Long chastising Ford Pickup owners for using the built in "non manly" step ladder to get in the bed. LOL

The twist I would put on it would be that the Leaf owners got a call and had to depart from their planned route (and hence planned range) to pickup their son/daughter from college on the wayyyy to Grandparents house for dinner. Or even better, "sorry honey, we can't swing by to pick you up. We won't have enough range to get there if we go 30 miles out our our way to pick you up".
