The new Camaro SS would really look so much better if they replaced that huge bowtie on the front grill with the SS emblem (like in the good old days)...besides, the SS will strike terror into the rearview mirrors of other motorists...only purists will know that the small front slit grill designates the SS-V8 version...

I love seeing the little GM Chiklet on all GMs and I like them, Shows that you are a proud owner of a great vehicle.

If you want to get rid of them I'll be more than happy to take them off your hand

They have a catch-22 right now..... they want people to forget they went bankrupt, so they are trying to build a new image. If they build a new image, they could alienate the die-hards.

They could say they are over 100 years old, but then people will say they're the same company that hemorraged billions and fell from the grace of their power in the 1950s to the laughing stock of the automotive world.

They could say they are a new company, and then people will say they've thrown their herritage out the window.

What are they to do?
I think their Reinvention commercial was the perfect balance. It referenced the past, but promised a brighter future. Acknowledged the bankruptcy, but played it down as not a big deal in terms of product. In fact, I think several "mouthpieces" have commented how bankruptcy "freed" them...maybe they aren't trying to make people forget.

The company as a whole is all of 2 months old, but that parts it's made up of go back those 100 years, so I suppose they aren't lying when they say it.

I'm definatley leaving mine on. The article says they will be removed immediately on the Camaro. I think the first 40,000 or so with the chiklet will be unique.
Lets see who can spot the first chikletless Camaro.

Great- I took mine off and stuck them on my 05 Colorado, which was before GM started putting little squares on them.

SOooooo...it isn't a long standing tradition, it's a goofy looking square emblem stuck on every dang car they make, as a marketing ploy which didn't work. So- mine are on a beat up truck where they belong- I have pics of them on the Camaro for posterity.

Bless his heart (that's what we say in the south when something bad happens to someone) the poor guy at the factory that puts those on will probably be laid off now! With my luck my car (being produced in the next two week after sitting in the system for 6 months) will probably show up next month without them.
