Thanks Scott. I was really having a hard time with the Rally Stripes after seeing them on the camaro at the Detroit Auto Show. I am not sure about them now.

When they redesign any car- even a current one- it's a long process. While they were rolling out 07 and 08 and now, 09 Equinoxes (Equinoi ?) they were designing the "new 10". Hell, they just rolled it out in Detroit. You think that happened overnight? If there were problems in the redo, they'd be making the same vehicle in 2010 that they made in 08 and the new Equinox would have been released later as a 2011 and we wouldn't know or care.

Here's the crux of the situation as I see it. They plan on putting out a 2010 Camaro early during the 2009 model year, have some issues, and people complain that they (actually only the last of the 11k) won't get a pre-ordered vehicle until October 09 when every other 2010 on the market is first released. Personally, yes, I think ordering on Oct 13th should carry more weight than ordering last week. I don't care if someone who ordered on Oct 13th is #12 at their dealer and the guy last week is #2 at his. The October order should be built first. That's where a lot of this animosity is growing from- and well founded. My opinion.

Ok, this thread now makes no sense. It gets bumped from 12/1/08 to today, 1/15/09, and people are thanking Scotty for info which he hasn't posted on this thread since 12/1/08??? And it no longer deals with the last order change date.

I am sure the "deadline" changed as the production date changed. All things are fluid as they say until they actually start pumping these babies out. Regardless I am happy to wait as long as necessary so they can get as many of the kinks out before we the end user gets the car. Its so close friends soooooo close now!

Ugh. I wanted to see CGM before I called my dealer for the changes but it sounds like it might be a while for that.

With a build date of 2/16/09, John said late January, early February until orders were pulled. It seems we should now be able to safely push each of those dates up one month. In addition, there is now the extra cushion of the, is it one or two V6s per dealer, that will come before pre-order cars. So it would seem early to mid March until our orders are pulled is practical.
What do you think Scotty?
